The NZTGA sets out to promote organ donor awareness through the participation of its members at National and World Transplant Games. It also promotes organ donor awareness through participation at national events such as the Rotorua Marathon. The Association is a non profit organization, and its business, activities and proceedings are held in this vein. It’s primary goal is for its members to have a good time in attending and promoting all events in which the Association participates.

The venue for the 18th World Transplant Games in 2011 has been announced, and Goteberg in Sweden will host these games in June 2011.
The World Transplant Games Federation also stages Winter World Transplant Games, but to date we have not sent any participants to these games.
The Association has registration as an Incorporated Society with The Ministry of Economic Development, and with The Charities Commission as a charitable entity.
